The writer writes well---the problem with being a former English Lit teacher is I cannot help myself in critiquing writing--- HOWEVER this sort of first person narrative reads more like directions in a . As though the writer is explaining how the storyline will act out. It comes across very dryly. When writing something that could be extremely exciting with this sort of wild fantasy sex story, it should be told in the past tense. Not as though he is reading a to us. On a personal note and this is just me. I really dislike the word arse. It just doesn't sound sexy. Yes, I know this is how the British say ass, but, somehow it sounds as though in this context, this way of calling someone's rear an arse comes across more like they are cursing. But that is just me. Otherwise if I were to copy the story so I could read it where the internet might not be convenient I'd just change that one word. Positive click. |
