I am an established writer on my home site and am fortunate that some of my readers there have followed me to give their support, otherwise my work might well be in the mid 80s limbo you spoke of. To me, longer stories give the writer a chance to develop their characters and to create the setting, something critical to erotic writing as emotion plays such an important role. Its possible to write a knock out short piece but it is actually much harder to do. Writing for money is a great thought but one has to be insanely lucky to be successful beyond a few dollars here and there. I write because I am a story teller by nature and this is an outlet that people actually read. Id be just as happy writing romance or science fiction. At times, those themes have entered my work. Ibe written two books and have multiple 3 part series. On Lushstoroes, views, comments and votes wane quickly as these series continue so there isntt much payoff for them there. |
