He was also closely linked with the harvest because crops grew from the "depths of the earth". To the Romans, he was a respected and worshiped God. I didn't use him for a very specific reason. I made Lykos' character Greek because of the legends associated around Hades. He was thought of as a dark, violent, even frightening god. The abductor of Persephone. He was "less" revered, and more feared because of his violent nature. So I made Lykos take him as his patron - and that's why the statue of Hades marks his club. |
