Second of all, this is all in the eyes and perspective of a 16 year old high school kid, so I'm pretty sure to a kid, 40 is old. And second of all, the character just woke up after 2 weeks in the hospital. Pretty damn sure he isn't gonna be the smartest and most intellectually stimulant person at the moment. The whole point of a story in 1st person is to put yourself in their perspective. |
