2016-05-18 18:47:39 A New Day, The Other Me chapter 6 Dear POI,
thank you for this chapter. At some point i was thinking about stopping reading the series, thinking the main charcters behavior is totally opposite of how i would have reacted to things. I´m not even talking about raging, but rather about the need for "revenge" for injustice and wrongdoings, that is in everyone. We need to face it or it will consume us from the inside.
I am also very glad and grateful for the fact that you sew in the answers for my previous questions in your storyline.
This is a truly great chapter and i am giving a full hearted positive rating.
Wishing you well, reallylonelyguy
2016-02-06 13:10:51 A New Day, The Other Me chapter 2 Even if you manage to glue the broken dish back together, no one will use it to eat from it ever again. It is too scarred, insecure and displeasing to the eye.

Also, if you suffer from 4 years of neglecting, abusing and whatnot, you grow a hate for your neglecters/abusers. You won´t let them in your room, you freak out if they lie in your bed and you don´t just get off and get them off on the night you´re out of the hospital.

I get it that Abigail is the lesser evil and that she too was forced to behave this way, but this is just no legitimate reason for the overly quick turn of events.

Guy should leave the house the day he is able to walk again and not be waiting for January. Thats just not him forgiving everyone and staying in hope for a lay sometime in the future.
2016-02-16 18:40:55 A New Day, The Other Me chapter 3 Dear POI,

thank you for this installment, i have avaited it with great anticipation.
While the story is pleasant to read, unfortunately i have the feeling that of a modern day Cinderella story.
About two weeks into "resocializing", Guy forgave Mark Jr. already? No way! Freakin hell that guy punched out a tooth of his!
Guy meets the prize girl at lunch, she comes after him? I´m only missing the singing birds and the giant rainbow over the disney castle they´re heading to for dinner.
I still get it, that this is an alternative story in an other universe if i may say so. I absolutely do not want to say that the story is garbage, it is good. I´m just having huge issues identyfying myself with it. First, I (and i assume the other Guy aswell) would have walked out of this so called family long ago. Second, i would not have even the slightest thought of forgiving such a shame. And lastly, would my mother bribe me with a huge TV and console i would throwthem right outta the window.
2016-02-18 19:04:43 A New Day, The Other Me chapter 3 Dear author and fellow commenters,

it is easy to assume that someone does not like the current turn of events, because he does not understand that it is an alternate series, or he is simply waiting for Guy to turn and snap. Please let me correct you here.

I love the series. Period. I just do not like the turn of events, because i struggle to understand the controversial depiction of Guy by the author.

Example 1. He is depicted as highly intelligent and sensitive. Yet he is seemingly oblivious to the fact that everything good coming from his "family" now is just because they want to lessen their own guilty feelings for what they did to him. Why?
Example 2. Guy is depicted as a strong independent character. He heals his own wounds, manages his life without the tons of money and gifts the others get, he is independent and good at school despite the circumstances. Yet he fails to see that out there in the real word, nothing worse can happen to him. Why does he stay?
2016-02-18 19:12:17 A New Day, The Other Me chapter 3 Example 3. Guy is depicted to be numb in his feelings towards the "family". He simply des not care anymore. Yet he is bonding with Abigail the same night he is out of the hospital. Then he kind of bonds with Mark Jr. at the burger place. He accepts and enjoys the "bribe" TV and console. He gives them every chance. Why does he do that if he is numb at heart and does not care anymore?
Example 4. Guy was a virgin until recently. He was a nobody. No one cared for him or liked him. No girl was interested in him. Now he says 2 sentences to this supermodel prize girl who then turns 180 degrees, even comes after him and takes him to dinner? How is this possible or plausible?

I hope to find answers to these questions in the following chapters of this great series.

Yours sincerely, reallylonelyguy
