But that scene was (is) important to the story as will be reveiled later (and you have already seen the first part of that reason). I feel a story needs to be believable to the reader. Would it have been enough to simply say that David had a bad day and needed Cherry to come see him? I don't believe so... Most details are important in my stories. Even the placement of his injuries is important. |
