Gina and all: I am having a bit of a face-off with administration here over what is going on with the new relief from the 18 year old rule. I believe that I am being very respectful, but direct with them over this. So, if I should disappear from this site, I guess you will know why. I hope to hear from them by Monday morning, but so far they are stone-walling me after several conversation offerings to explain my stance on this issue. I am not at this time going to mention what the issue is, so that they can take the lead when they come to some conclusion. |

I worked at night at a Catholic Hospital for a year during college. I was a full time student and they let me work four hours a night doing data entry. And the other four hours I was on call to be a strong right arm in the E.R. and could do my homework and nap. The hospital was headed by a very strong willed Nun and most of the nursing staff was Sister's too. No, nothing sexual ever happened between us, but I have rarely been treated as well by any employer even though I was not Catholic and if I had known that I was going to transfer into a Business program, I would have remained with them. The Head Sister was much amused by the reactions of the younger ones who worked around me, but they were very respectful and circumspect. And had my total respect for their devotion to their calling, even though this was during my sexually charged youth. |
