I prefer a lot more character development in stories, but hey, my stories tend to be like a book. Maybe a prequel; where we learn what used to happen when his pre-teen daughter would come and slip between his wife and he in bed during the storms . . . what she was thinking while there in bed with them . . . . and after they carried the little girl back to her own bedroom, how her mother used to cuddle with him and call him "Daddy" while she played with him. Good characters, a good back story and proper amount of detail. I tend to put a lot of detail in my stories also . . .I think it makes it much more interesting to read.
