| 2014-10-14 03:35:56 | Marine Brats 4 (edit) | Do not worry about negative comments. You're doing fine. Chapter length... between 4,000 and 6,000 words is just about perfect. Proof reading. You can never do enough. Write your chapters in a word processor. Use the spell checker of course but do not publish it right away. Go back and re-read it carefully 3 or 4 days later. Make corrections. Print it out on paper, and re-read it again in a couple of days. If possible, have a friend proof read it on screen and again on paper. There, their, too, to, two, we're were, where, these are all very important to a professional style story. I can't stress this enough. When you're satisfied, only THEN publish it for others. It makes a huge difference! Keep up the good work! |

There are simply people lurking here with less then productive lives. That said, if you would put an extra return after each chapter it would help the readability immensely. Keep up the good work! |
| 2013-03-21 00:12:28 | Don't get too caught up in high ratings. There is somebody or maybe a few who are sabotaging ratings. It's happened to my latest chapter of Sadie. Within minutes of publication it had 5 negatives to 10 positives but its steadily climbing now. There are people wit no scruples out there and we just have to live with that. |
