I agree with Mature Gina. You are very talented indeed, Becky. This was certainly a horror story and yet also a sex story. Many people don't notice the balance that has to be kept when writing for this genre. Sometimes the story is more and the sex is not enough to the point where it can't be classified as a sex story, rather as a story with some sex in it. I struggle with this myself. Of course, don't let my words dictate to you how to write a story. I'm just pondering out loud. Much has been written in the mainstream about how to write horror, suspense, mystery, romance, historical, fantasy and all those other genres and subgenres in between. The sex story genre hasn't been institutionalized yet, in my opinion. We're all making up our own rules as we go along (it seems), but there is a common thread that runs through stories that we slot into this category. I think your story is a fine example of a sex story in the horror genre vein. Fantastic work, Becky. Please, do continue this. |
