Extra points for originality: there are very few historical pieces on here. -However, it lacks believability because the girl a) displays little to no shyness b) develops intense romantic feelings instantly. -Also, the 'orgasm' happened very abruptly and was described very briefly. -Describing the strength of the erection with ''so hard he could have used it as a mace and smashed through a legionnaire's shield'' made me laugh. -The scene in the baths where Arcadias has a discussion with a fellow trader was irrelevant to the character delelopment and plot and felt distracting. I understand it's tempting while writing to advance to the sex as quickly as possible, but that's a temptation to be resisted to avoid sacrificing believability. The more believable the story is prior to the sex, and thus the more the reader has been able to absorb into the story and feel for the characters, the hotter the sex. |

I also believe, that deep down, each daughter wants their father, while each father also wants their daughter. I also think, that that which makes a boy a man, and a man a father, is his ability to repress his sexuality; to not allow his most primitive instinct to manipulate him, to fuck his daughter, for instance. |
