Though she was blind I think he was the one who was the more handicapped. Shut off to love and life. It took him seeing how she handled life head on for him to take the leap and open up to experience life with a chance of being hurt. She was so afraid of getting hurt again that she intentionally sabotage your relationship to keep from getting hurt. But ultimately those who run from pain can never be free and happy. By being afraid to face the fear she caused herself more pain and rejection. For those who only like happy endings and fantasy you need to learn to read tags.
