Correlation between Ratings and Readership: There is a definite relationship in a story having a high rating and a wide readership. But, it isn't firm. Three of the highest readership stories of all time on this site had ratings below 60%. And the highest readership of any of my stories, LITTLE GIRL'S PAYDAY, which was over 45,000 in its previous posting here was in the low 70"s. It appears to me that to have a high readership here you need to: Write a story that is most in demand here (Unflinching depictions of rampant exotic sex.) And, Write it well. And keep it on the first 30 day page. And from the previous factors, develop a loyal readership. This is so that even if your story isn't prominently posted, your readers will seek it out. It helps to not make enemies here, also!!! |

RATINGS: This is a painful subject to me. I am used to a high level of acceptance in the educational system for my efforts. Of course they didn't include the type of material that I supply here. The site lists my average rating as 76.6 % and my usual range is 80 to 90. That means that roughly four times as many people like them as don't. I find that very acceptable. I am often surprised by ratings that a particular story gets. Some of my personal favorites are rated somewhat lower than I expected and a couple are much higher that what they might deserve in my estimation. To those who offer a yes vote and/or thoughtful and respectful criticism I am very grateful for that. I have no problem with those who do not like them. There are many here that I don't like either. I just hate rudeness and trolling. Even when I was rude, I hated it too. |

# READS: Been thinking about this lately. Since my stories tend to be story driven and modest on intimacy descriptions, a rather low level of readership is to be expected. However, before I joined this site, any of them had been read only by five people, including me. All of them except me and one of my escort friends hated them for objections to the type of material. I like my stories, since I wrote what I wanted to write about, in the way that I wanted to write them. There seems to be a small core group of about 1000 who read all of my stories here. Another group of usual readers from the 3000 level to the 5000 level and I feel that I have really hit the button when I go over 10,000. The highest so far was about 45,000 for a previous posting of LITTLE GIRL'S PAYDAY, which now is Legacy Posting 1 with almost another 5,000 readers.. |
